West Texas Steer Sale Weekends is a collaborative marketing effort to promote over 40 show steer breeders and sellers who sell cattle each spring — all within a 200 mile radius from The Hub City of Lubbock.

This marketing campaign consists of both print and digital media to promote its online directory of breeders and sellers, making it easy for buyers to sort sales according to their buying preferences. West Texas Steer Sale Weekends promotes its participants via Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. In two years, the audiences on these platforms have grown organically to over a thousand followers on multiple platforms. This online directory website also boasts thousands of visitors during the spring selling season.

Lubbock Lights is at the forefront of West Texas Steer Sale Weekends’s promotional efforts this week with an online sale watch party on Saturday, April 4th, at Cook's Garage. 15 breeders with approximately 100 head on display at one location for sale on SC Online Sales and Steerbidder platforms.

While this marketing effort is new, it promotes a 50+ year tradition of the West Texas region offering elite show steer prospects, which prove to be competitive at the state’s highest levels.
